The Alumni Association of Lakehead University invites you to stay involved with our alma mater by considering nomination for the 2010/2011 Board of Directors. The AALU Board is composed alumni volunteers who work together to support the mission and vision of the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association of Lakehead University Board of Directors administers the invested funds, sets the annual budget, and determines policies for the operation and control of the Association.
During a typical year, board members may make decisions on a variety of issues, including strategic allocation of resources, student engagement, affinity services, community relations, chapter development, fundraising planning and much more.
Directors serve two year terms.

The Alumni Association of Lakehead University aims to build mutually-beneficial life-long relationships with all alumni and students and help to advance and promote the interests, achievements and ambitions of Lakehead University.

Completed forms may be emailed to lakeheadu%23ca|richard%23longtin or dropped off to the Alumni Relations Office, located in the Avila Centre on Reaume St., by no later than October 6th, 2010.
If the AALU Board is not the right fit for you, but you are still interested in learning more about your Alumni Association, please come out to our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting is open to all Lakehead alum, regardless of your graduating class, current location, or past involvement. Everyone has a voice and a vote and these meetings determine the governance, priorities, events, and objectives of the Association for the upcoming year. The meeting will take place simultaneously on both the Thunder Bay and Orillia campus. In addition, alumni located outside these regions are invited to take part in the meeting via teleconference. All attendees are invited to network and enjoy refreshments and light snacks prior to the meeting on November 27th, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
