Diane Thompson
Diane Thompson, BA'94
Diane Thompson was born in Toronto in 1939 and moved to the Lakehead (Port Arthur) in 1968. She has a college business diploma and a university degree. She attended Lakehead University as a mature, part-time student majoring in Physical Anthropology and minoring in Sociology, and says graduating from LU in 1994 was one of the great moments of her life. For most of her working career she was involved with Human Resources and retired from the Catholic School Board in 2004. Diane has three children; one son lives in Kenora with his family, and another son and daughter live in Thunder Bay. She also has five grandchildren. Presently Diane sits on two Boards: Lakehead University Alumni Board and Castlegreen Cooperative Board. Her interests are varied and include reading, walking, knitting, volunteering, and being with her family.
