The 7th Annual FULL MOON MEMORY WALK
A walk to honour and celebrate the lives of our women.
Gone but not forgotten.
This year, the Lakehead Alumni Relations Office was honored to help sponsor this important and commemorative annual event, The Full Moon Memory Walk.
Every year, the walk aims to raise awareness and support for the families and friends of murdered and missing Anishinabe and Métis women. The departments of history and women’s studies encouraged people from the university and community to join in this walk.
The walk took the following route: from City Hall down May St, onto Victoria Ave, then Simpson St, and continued down the Pacific Ave bridge and east on Pacific Ave until 110th St. until the group reached the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway.
We send our warm regards to the organizers and participants in the walk.
Miigwetch.
