Golf Tournament
The 27th Annual RBC Alumni Scholarship Golf Classic Tournament will be presented by RBC in partnership with the Alumni Association of Lakehead University and Lakehead University’s Athletics Department on August 10, 2010in Thunder Bay. This tournament will take place at the beautiful Whitewater Golf Club in Thunder Bay. This fun-filled day has rapidly become one of Ontario’s most prestigious tournaments and serves as a major source of funding for Lakehead University student scholarships.
Last year, the tournament raised $32,000 for Lakehead student scholarships. Since its inception, the Alumni Association has raised over $150,000 in support of Lakehead University students. This year our goal is $35,000. With the generous collaboration of the tournament’s sponsors and participants, we are confident that this goal will be met, allowing scholarship recipients the chance to excel.
Sponsorship opportunities are over 90 percent sold out, but there are still a few spots available. A range of sponsorship packages exist to meet the interests of diverse companies. As well, donations are still being accepted for silent auction products and services. We offer valuable marketing and promotion in return for investment in this worthwhile cause.
The team registration deadline is August 1, 2010. Again, spaces are going very quickly, though there are still a few remaining spots. The entry fee is $200 per person or $800 per team of four. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, use of a cart, a registration gift, and a delicious lunch and dinner. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of one of city’s most popular golf tournaments!
